geninne’s art blog

Many of you probably already know her work, but for those like me who are new, my new favorite art blog right now (clearly aside from Pikaland), is that of Mexican artist Geninne Zlatkis.

The images of her in-process work and of her actual artwork are huge and bold. I love when artists have the brevity to post online artwork large scale with no copyright or watermarks. I was looking through her tools section where she mentions every art supply she uses (and how), and I found her honesty quite refreshing.

As artists, illustrators, and creators, maybe we should let our images and techniques be free, to share, to soar, like birds.

  1. Thanks for posting this. I love when artists are open about their techniques – I’ve been trying to take the same approach with my blog. I think it’s great for the creative community as a whole and I don’t really buy into the idea that it makes you more likely to have your work plagiarized. Great post!
