you look like the right type

Posted by Racheal Anilyse on Monday July 26, 2010

If you don’t already know, I’m super in love with hand drawn typography. When I see some really sexy type with a fun personality, my palms get all sweaty, my blood pressure raises, and I get butterflies in my stomach. One can only imagine then what happened when I found Chicago based illustrator Mark Addison Smith’s blog You Look Like the Right Type.

You guessed it…my face exploded. Not really, but I did fall in love. Mark jots down the honest and awkward dialogue he hears during the day, turns it into a sketch and posts it the following day. I really recommend that everyone have a summer fling with type, particularly the right type that gives you some word play.

nice! i really enjoyed your blog, mark!
especially since my day job involves doing hand drawn typography, all day long. (racheal, it’s a good thing you don’t have my day job or your head might really explode!)
