Cheong-ah Hwang is a wife, mother and a self taught paper artist originally from Korea who is working hard to fulfill her dream of becoming a full time artist. As each original piece of papercut art was hard to produce, she wanted to offer affordable prints as an alternative for those who love her work, and thus she started a project on Kickstarter to obtain funds for printing.
The print was for a Red Riding Hood paper sculpture, and not only did she reached her goal of USD$250 — she got $570, an extra 127% from her original request.
Her work is so beautiful and intricate, as seen in the last two pictures of the hummingbirds — they look so real and fragile that I was half expecting them to wake up and fly away.

Gorgeous! I can’t stop staring at the beautifully delicate hummingbird in her palm. So glad she’s getting more than she hoped for her work!
This is really amazing work! The bird is very elaborated but my favorite is the Red Riding Hood. Loved the eyes on the trees.
Cheong-ah, It was a thrill and delight to be able to view your new work. It is WONDERFUL! Of course, the hummers are our favorite. We feel so privileged to own some of your work. Want to see more. We have always known you would do well. All the best….Tom & Nan
