#1: Making your mark
Making art is a journey in self discovery. It begins with an inherent need for self-expression. Each of us has a unique voice all our own. You may have been doodling one-eyed cats or building ambitious forts since you were a child or maybe only recently discovered your love of making 5 tiered cakes or photographing civil war era battles re-enacted by your pet rabbits, the important thing is that you have a passion and desire to express your own personal and unique experiences through art.

#2: How to Survive and Thrive as an Artist Online
This four week course is aimed specifically at online marketing for fine artists and illustrators. Structured for those just developing their online presence to those who need a good critique or want to make their existing persona better! Our expertise and knowledge of what makes a great online presence will be supplemented with examples from our favorite blogs, shops, and websites from across the web! We’ll break it down for you: how to brand yourself and how you can bring out your persona, with weekly one-on-one critiques and exercises aimed specifically at bringing out the best in you and your art online! From introductions, marketing, and self-promotion to how to sustain yourself, each week we’ll discuss a different topic providing essential tips and information and how to make your mark matter! #3: Visual Journaling
Have you ever wanted to create a story using your own images or ideas but were too afraid to begin or didn’t know where to start?? Visual journaling is a fantastic way to dive in and break down the fears and imaginary barriers that may exist in creating your own unique story!
In this five week course we’ll use a moleskine as a medium and place to gather images and ideas. Incorporating collage, drawn imagery, words, and photos to create your own narrative we’ll explore different ways of self-expression. With emphasis on specific character development and examples from across the web of exciting, inventive visual journaling to inspire and learn from!

Pika Alumni: Making Your Mark #2
Finally! An advanced course for all Pikaland Bootcamp Alumni! Build and grow on past assignments, make new work, reconnect with past alumni and make new friends! This is a 6 week advanced course, with 1 assignment per week aimed at self-discovery, exploration and uncovering further who you are as an artist and what it is you hope to say with your art! With new creative fresh assignments to get you thinking ‘outside the box’, loads more examples from our favorite artists and illustrators, and Amy and Jamie available for critical feedback and support along the way!
We’ve loved working with so many of you and look forward to working with you again soon!
